Hardwood Sanding and Finishing

Many times clients want to restore old, worn down hardwood flooring into looking brand new and beautiful again. During your consultation we will go over all of your hardwood floor refinishing options and answer any questions you may have.

For someone trying to achieve a specific color or match a current floor, sanding and finishing an unfinished floor would be the best option. Faith Hardwood Flooring has many stain and finish options for you to choose from.We offer traditional oil-based, water borne finishes, Swedish finishes and hard wax oil. While performing your project often the question arises about the dust from sanding.We operate using a dustless vacuum system that collects the dust to protect the clients home.This process generates less than 2% of dust. Staircase refinishing is also a specialty of ours.

After your hardwood floor restoration is complete, use the  

National Wood Flooring Association recommended maintenance guidelines schedule below to ensure your floors continue to look gorgeous:

Daily: Sweep or  Dust Mop

​

Weekly: Vaccum using the bare floor setting

​

Monthly: Clean with a recommended wood floor cleaner

​

Every 3-5 years: Maintenance Coat

​

Ever few decades: Sand and refinish

Hardwood Installation

Hardwood flooring comes in different species, each has it's own characteristics such as knots and grain variations. Some of the hardwood flooring species include:

Factory finished flooring has many benefits as this flooring type has already been sanded and finished Factory finished floors come both engineered and solid. This may be ideal if a client wants to avoid any finish being applied on site.

Engineered flooring is real wood flooring that is made using several wood or composite veneers. Sometimes engineered flooring can be sanded and finished depending on how thick the top veneer is. 

​

Solid wood flooring is a solid piece of wood that varies in thickness from 3/4" to 5/16". Solid wood flooring can be installed above grade or at grade. A benefit of this type of flooring is that it can be sanded and finished several times during the span of its life. Clients often find solid wood flooring displays a stylish appealing look while maintaining it durability. It's cost effective as the flooring doesn't need to be replaced.
